PGM XII.201—269 Ring

The pattern for the front side of the ring or phylactery from PGM XII.201—269: “…a snake in a circle with its tail in its mouth, and also in the middle of the circle formed by the snake Selēnē having two stars on the two horns, and above these, Hēlios, beside whom ΑΒΡΑΣΑΞ should be inscribed; and on the opposite side of the stone from this inscription, the same name ΑΒΡΑΣΑΞ, and around the border you will write the great and holy omnicompetent spell, the name ΙΑΩ ΣΑΒΑΩΘ.”
