Lunar Kamea

A kamea, or magic square, of the Moon. This is a 9×9 magic square from Agrippa’s Three Books of Occult Philosophy, engraved with the proper order of the numbers, inlaid with silver leaf, and painted over in purple. The names of the Moon are written in Latin and Hebrew, along with crescent and full moons along the sides. This was made in the hours and days of the Moon over several weeks towards the end of 2011.
